One perfectly executed idea will cut through the clutter better than a dozen middling ones

It's becoming increasingly difficult to grab people's attention and make your news stand out from the crowd. Instead of prying and scratching for more ideas in that one ad campaign you’ve been working on, scale back. Look at it from a bird’s eye view and find that one idea that could carry a whole campaign in a simple but effective way.

Here are a few ads as of late that are just downright good, and led with perfectly executed ideas.

The Martin Agency

HANES: Make Yourself Comfortable

In 1901, undergarments were anything but comfortable. Hanes shows how much they have revolutionized comfort since their conception in 1901. What a fun way to pay homage to how far their undies have come!

Wieden+Kennedy

McDonald’s: Casing the Joint

The Hamburglar is back to promote the new, to-steal-for changes to their burgers. This idea is classic, and brings back an old, beloved character. What a simple way to cut through the clutter with a character.

Ogilvy New York

IKEA: The Giving Bag

The iconic and giant blue bag has become a household staple, and this heartwarming ad showcases all of the magical household items you can find at IKEA. Very Mary Poppins!
